Former Taiwan president Ma to visit China in landmark trip

TAIPEI: Former Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou will visit China this month, his workplace stated on Sunday, the primary time a former or present Taiwanese chief has visited because the defeated Republic of China govt fled to the island in 1949.
Ma, who stays a senior member of Taiwan’s Kuomintang (KMT) opposition celebration, held a landmark assembly with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Singapore in overdue 2015, in a while prior to present Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen was once elected.
Ma’s workplace stated that he would visit China from March 27 to April 7 and move to the towns of Nanjing, Wuhan, Changsha, Chongqing and Shanghai.
